The Desk Lamp
A collaboration with the talented Jasper Summers, the only piece to reach production meeting great success. Multiple points of articulation to direct light in a focused or ambient way. Built on a clamp base to hold sturdy on any standard desk while the porcelain shade casts the perfect warm tone.
Stretch Lamp
Based on the famed frame saw tension system, two bulbs are held in a peened copper shade on an adjustable arm. The oak was hand milled from a tree blown down in a storm and topped with whittled carvings. The perfect amount of light is shed, through the expanded steel and reflected off the patinaed copper, to make the room glow.
Solstice Bench
Inspired by my time spent in Vermont, the radiator I found in the woods and the beautiful pine that came down years ago. I gave my shot at larger sculpture and some big joinery. While being my new favorite spot to drinking coffee the carving serves as reminder to keep my hands , and therefore myself, open to change and following the current of the world. -12.21.2023
Unwound Lamp
A testament to my hometown. The Unwound lamp is the last piece made before leaving for school. All materials found on my family’s property or the yards of neighbors. An industrial steel base paired with the beautifully untouched Bittersweet vine holds a turned applewood shade. Variably tensioned with simple materials, it creates a cozy energy around your favorite reading chair. Your book will be waiting for you attached to the lamp keeping your space minimal and peaceful.
Drafting Desk and Stool
Crafted from necessity and scrap material, the walnut was begging to come back to life. The stool height is adjustable as well as the footrest. The desktop has 9 stops in-between level and vertical while the toggle clamp cross bar hangs on at any height. leather, matching the seat, is draped over the stainless-steel pull string light and can be adjusted to illuminate your work without shedding blinding light.
Beech Sconce
Made from lam-bent beech and cherry this wall lamp holds a shade made of beech leaves to diffuse the led. It sits above my bed and provides just enough light to read and isolate your cozy environment. It props itself on a separate base and can be angled to shine light onto your book or out to the room.
Coffee Shrine Cabinet
Made during my time at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, primarily ash and walnut. This piece holds a special place in my heart as it holds all my love of the team in Maine and thought me my first dove tail. The cabinet features 2 drawers with pop-out knobs, hooks for mugs, and external shelves with space for a drip coffee tower.
